Diabola, absolutely without conscience, grows up and goes on wreaking havoc, culminating with the burning down of the school. She's by far the more engrossing character, but sweet, passive Angela has more to her than meets the eye&#;she's the only person on earth with a modicum of control over Diabola. Angela and Diabola are twins, but from the moment they enter the world - one with a smile and the other with a vengeance - they have nothing in common. Rating: (not yet rated) 0 with reviews - Be the first.

Angela and Diabola's mother and father soon figure out that Angela and Diabola aren't going to balance any time soon. Angela and Diabola's mother and father start to realize that being around each other Angela and Diabola are slowly balancing. I give this book five stars because it wasn't to long and it was written in a reasonable sized print/5(7). Angela and Diabola are twins, but from the moment they enter the world - one with a smile and the other with a vengance - they have nothing in common. Angela is the perfect daughter while Diabola .

This book was great because it was very interesting how different the twins were. It was definitely not boring. It had a mixture of horror and humor, the scariest bit for me was when the evil twin developed new powers to seriously injure people. Angela and Diabola will always be my favourite book/5(8). Angela's powers make people do good things and feel happy, while Diabola can set things on fire and cause pain - as well as being able to draw brilliantly. Anyway, I do recommend this book for older children, and parents who read it may find the themes of good vs evil and living up to Reviews:

From birth, Angela is the embodiment of goodness; people blissfully melt at the sight of her. Everyone loathes nasty, screaming, purple-faced Diabola: Her parents have to pay a pair of street bums to be her godparents, and the vicar is so startled by her mean little eyes that he drops her in the baptismal vega-books.com: Lynne Reid Banks.

Balancing Diabola's mischief are Angela's far less interesting (and more briefly described) acts of kindness. Broad-humored representations of characters and events keep horrors (crumbling buildings, spontaneous combustions, impaled bodies) at a safe distance, although the account of Diabola killing the family cat may prick some.

Apr 10,  · At first it's a cute story about a pair of twins who are polar opposites. Angela is a sweet little angel, while Diabola is well, diabolical. The first half of the book is about how their parents handled them, which is fun to read. The last half though, the story got weirder and weirder and eventually came to an equally weird ending/5().
